Not All Farming Happens on a Farm

Listen in as Kiersten and Kathleen, two undergrads at MIT, explore the laws regarding urban farms and speak to individuals about their perspectives on what these urban farms and gardens provide for communities.

 

About Kathleen: Kathleen Love is a sophomore at MIT studying biological engineering. She has always been interested in farming and food access, having spent summers visiting her family-owned farm in Iowa, attending Virginia Governor’s School for Agriculture, and recently living and volunteering on an organic homestead.

About Kiersten: Kiersten Mitzel is a freshman at MIT planning on majoring in computer science with a minor in business. She thoroughly enjoyed the research conducted on this project and is excited to see where it may go in the future.
