Undergraduate Academic Officer

In order to have a concentration PROPOSAL form approved, you need to have an in-person meeting with the STS Undergraduate Officer, Professor Chakanetsa Mavhunga.

Students may meet with Prof. Mavhunga about concentration proposal form approvals, concentration class changes (meetings not required), transfer credit advising (for STS-related subjects), and pursuing a minor or joint or double major in STS.

To meet with Prof. Mavhunga please email him at mavhunga@mit.edu and cc Stephanie Brandão Carvalho, sbrandao@mit.edu, especially if you just have a question that she may be able to answer.

If you are making changes to your approved proposal form before submitting your completion, please send an email to Prof. Mavhungaabout the change, and submit the change online. If you are submitting a completion form for a concentration proposal that was approved and has no changes, just go ahead and submit your form online.
