Minor

The goal of the minor program is to give students a broad social perspective on the fields of engineering and science: how they have evolved and how they fit into the wider context of society, culture, politics, and values.

The Minor in STS consists of six subjects as follows:

Keep in mind that you can share up to 5 subjects in a STS Minor with the HASS GIR Requirement. Therefore, you could only need one extra subject to create a STS Minor. A full Minor is very accessible!

For general information about completing a minor within the School of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (SHASS), including the HASS Minor Proposal and Completion forms you need for the STS Minor, visit their website.

If you have any questions or need to have your minor proposal and/or completion form signed, please contact the STS Undergraduate Academic Officer or STS Academic Administrator.

* Substitution with a similar subject may be permitted by petition to the STS Undergraduate Officer.
